So you’ve decided to visit the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival in Disney World this year, but you’re not sure when you should go.

Of course, there are a lot of factors that will go into you making that decision, depending on when you can take a vacation, the schedule of others in your group, and more. However, if you can avoid certain dates, you’ll have a much better experience. So we’re going to tell you which dates you should try NOT to visit the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.
If you’re going to the 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, avoid these dates.
August 28th: First Day
Sure, it might seem fun to beat everyone to the punch and visit the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival on the first day, but you’ll end up fighting a lot of crowds because everyone else is thinking that, too. If you just want to make sure you get a specific piece of merchandise, don’t worry — Disney often restocks merchandise throughout the festival.

August 30th: First Saturday
All those people who couldn’t get off work on the first day of the festival, which is on a Thursday, are planning on visiting the festival on Saturday. That first Saturday is usually very crowded, even more so than on the first day of the festival. We recommend avoiding weekends, in general, because that’s when you’ll see more crowds at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.

August 30th-September 1st: Labor Day Weekend
Likewise, expect to see big crowds at the festival on Labor Day Weekend, which happens this year from August 30th through September 1st. This is a day that a lot of people are off work and kids are out of school, so they’ll all be thinking it’s a good time to visit EPCOT.

October 7th-9th: Indigenous Peoples’ Day Weekend
The same goes for the next big holiday weekend, which falls on October 7th through 9th. A lot of people will be off work, and kids will be out of school, so you can expect them all to head to EPCOT to enjoy the festival. Avoid those crowds if you can.

November 8th-November 11th: Veterans Day Weekend
This is the last holiday weekend of the festival, which means it’s the last chance for many to check it out. We often see big crowds during this time, especially from people who want to knock out the festival before it’s over.

November 22nd: Last Day of Festival
You know those people who like to wait until the last minute? Well, they’re going to be visiting the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival on the last day, on November 22nd. Either they’re in EPCOT for one last festival hurrah, or they just waited until the last day to visit, you’d be surprised at how many people generally attend a festival’s last day.

We’ll be attending the first day of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, so be sure to follow along so you’re prepared for your festival visit. Check back with AllEars again soon for more.
