There is something about funnel cake that screams summer and theme parks. That crispy fried dough paired with the powdered sugar makes us feel like we’re walking right through a county fair.
Disney World is no stranger to funnel cake desserts, and while we usually get our favorite at the Funnel Cake Stand in EPCOT, we found another spot to add to your park days.
Over in Hollywood Studios, we went to Epic Eats, the snack stand right by Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. We tried the Caramel-Apple Pie Funnel Cake for $8.49.
This funnel cake is crispy on the edges and soft on the inside, with that spongy texture. It’s covered with apple pie filling that’s cinnamon-forward, featuring apple chunks.
The ice cream on top? Creamy, delicious vanilla ice cream. It was even topped with a caramel drizzle that paired well with the cinnamon apple flavor and the vanilla ice cream. As it melts, it becomes softer with that incredible funnel cake texture where everything is soaked in.
This might not be the most unique dessert we’ve ever had, when it comes to apple pie flavors, we aren’t picky. It’s a solid dessert to grab after you exit the Indiana Jones show or a snack to try after you finish your dinner. The stand also offers other funnel cake flavors to try.
